Chair Welcome

A big welcome to our new reception parents and children.

PiP have been busy behind the scenes and have lots of exciting events planned, see what we’re doing this term below in ‘PiP news’ and ‘calendar’ and find out what you can do to help. We hope you all like the site and will find it useful.

We’ve got off to a flying start. Our first cake sale on 30th September raised a record breaking £275.50. Thank-you to all those who brought in cakes and supported the sale. Another ‘spooky cake sale’ is planned for the 21st October, so keep please baking!

We are also very pleased to announce that PiP are purchasing designed t-shirts for our junior and very talented jazz band as well as, school jackets for the infants to wear on trips. Photos soon.

We have lots of plans for this year. We have agreed with school that we will jointly fund raise for a big project and have decided to aim for a lighting rig for the church hall. It’s a big target, but with your continued support and energy we can do it.

Coming soon: A notice board in the playground, which confirms all the important PiP dates and news.

If you want to get involved, or have any other great fundraising ideas then please email me at: pipchairhtss@gmail.com, or find me in the playground.

Thanks Tracey

Pip News

School Merchandising will arrive just in time for Christmas. We are ordering our own designed school tea towels, aprons and bags and Christmas cards. We are asking that parents pre-order what they want want, and the more we order the more money we make for the school. Order forms will be in your children’s bags very soon – keep an eye out!

The Christmas Fair is a firm fixture in the PiP calendar and a great family event, it will take place on Saturday 4th Dec. As well as a host of stalls, there will be games, crafts, a raffle, and mince pies and mulled wine on offer – and we’re hoping Santa will put in a special appearance. We always need people to help run stalls on the day, so if you would like to get involved either speak to your PiP rep or come along to the meetings and volunteer. Below details which the stalls your year is running

Rec Raffle and Tombola
1 Food
2 Grotto
3 Games
4 Toys and Books
5 Tombola
6 Fancy Gift Stall

We need second hand toys and books, so if you are having a pre-Christmas clear out then please donate to the school. Let your year rep know .

We also need to secure prizes for our the Raffle by the 15th November. Please talk to your local businesses, family friends and ask them to pledge their support for our school. Your rep has an ‘official’ letter of thanks with all our contact details, if you need copies then please ask them. We are happy to put their company logo on our website under ‘Thank-you to our Friends and Supporters ‘ Please ask them to email their logo to pipchairhtss@gmail.com.

Of course, we always need people to help run stalls on the day, so if you would like to get involved either speak to your PiP rep or come along to the meetings and volunteer.

We have arranged a Carol Concert for Thurs 9th Dec from 6.00 to 7.00pm after school. It will be a candlelit carol concert, our choir will lead the way and pip will be selling mince pies, mulled wine, hot chocolate and other treats. We are raising funds for The Children’s Society. Put the date in your calendar and invite tell your family and friends, it promises to be enchanting evening. We will need help to set up and and run the evening, so talk to your rep about how you can help.
