CHRISTMAS CARDS 2012

CHRISTMAS CARDS 2012

For the third year PiP are running the popular Christmas card design project. Each child designs their own card which will have their name printed on the back.

For every pack sold school makes £1.

How it works:
Your child will be sent home with an order /design form to create their own Christmas Cards. The design is on A4 but the final cards will be reduced to A5.
Please read the form carefully as to ‘what works and what doesn’t’.  Children can use different media and even glitter!  Please note there will be no opportunity to make any corrections.  Whatever appears on the form is what will be printed so please write carefully.

Once your child has completed their design you must:
·         Pay for your order upfront before the cards are printed.
·         Please put payment in a sealed envelope, either a CHEQUE payable to Holy Trinity & St Silas OR submit exact cash in an envelope
·         Write your child’s name and year clearly on the envelope
·         Please hand your completed design AND payment to your CLASS TA or to Rita in the office, no later than Mon 15th October (Do Not Fold the Design)

ALL DESIGNS & PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY
MON 15th OCOTOBER
PAYMENT MUST BE INCLUDED WITH THE DESIGN OR IT WILL NOT GO TO PRINT!

Keep calm and carry on supporting PiP!

Dear Parents, Carers and Children

Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We raised a record breaking £2800 at the Christmas Fair in addition to the money raised for Christmas Cards and Tea towels and Bags. Thank-you to everyone for supporting PiP events and initiatives.

As you would imagine, PiP have lots of exciting events planned. See our diary below. First dates for your diary are our ever popular Cake Sales on the Thurs 27th Jan (hosted by Year 4) and a Valentine Cake Sale on Thurs 17th Feb (Hosted by Reception).

For it's third year, a fantastic Bingo evening is been planned and new this term will be a Family Quiz night. Both events promise to be lots of fun - dates to be confirmed but keep logged on for all updates but leaflets in children's bags also.

We are very exciting to announce that we have joined a fundraising scheme working with the organic fruit and veg suppliers Abel and Cole. The prices are very reasonable and you can drop in and out of the scheme as you wish, no obligation. Watch out for details of the launch coming soon where you can see how the scheme works and ask any questions. Delivery is to the school and you simply pay for your order upfront and collect your delivery from school on the same day every week. The great news is that 25% of what you pay goes to the school and no waiting in for deliveries.

Toward the end of term we are holding a Community Auction. Your reps will speak to you about this and more info will of course follow. We have so many skilled and talented parents and children who could offer a service or product that could be bid for at an auction. For example, you might offer to cook a huge chocolate cake, you might know the Arsenal football team and ask them to sign a shirt! you might be able to make a delicious Indian meal, you might be able to walk someone's dog for a week, you might be able to clean a car, you might be able to devise a fitness routine to shed the Christmas pounds, you might love cleaning and offer a spring clean, you might offer to babysit.... the list of possibilities is endless.

We will hold an evening auction where you can bid for the fantastic Lots on offer. more to follow.

PiP is always looking for support so come along and get involved, come to one of our meetings or speak to your rep about how you can help.

Chair PiP
